In Blow Molding and PET Blowing, chilled water is used for mould cooling to stabilize the shape of bottles and containers immediately after formation. This helps achieve uniform wall thickness, improved clarity, and higher production speeds while preventing deformation.
For Extrusion Processes (including HDPE pipe extrusion, blown film plants, lamination lines, and tape plants), chilled water plays a dual role. It is used in calibration tanks, cooling baths, and rollers to bring down the temperature of continuously extruded material. Controlled cooling ensures proper sizing, structural strength, and surface finish of pipes, films, sheets, and tapes. In blown film applications, stable cooling is essential for maintaining film thickness uniformity and preventing distortions.
Additionally, chilled water is used for hydraulic oil cooling and machine cooling, helping maintain optimal operating temperatures of equipment. This improves machine efficiency, reduces wear and tear, and ensures uninterrupted production.
